Vampire Hunter D, NOT Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, ya?

Jesse Darty

Halloween comes but once a year!! You need to see Evil Dead. It's so over the top

tom

Only my humble opinion but skipping the first Evil Dead loses nothing. The 2nd is kinda a remake of the 1st and is next level genius

RX2904

The Magnificent Seven won‘t win anyway but it should be the original with Brynner and McQueen not the remake.

Rickard Blixt

It Follows is a must see horror movie! If you want something a bit not as dreadful You’re Next is a really fun one, with one hell of a lead character.

MattN

so many great movies!

Niravathu

Prince of Egypt is one of if not the greatest animated films of all time, even if it doesn't win you should definitely watch it at some point.

Anonymous

I learned the October Sky Theme song as soon as I could play it decently on my violin. It also had a big impact on me as a kid!!! Love that!

Caleb Harvey

Come on Prince of Egypt

Matt

Birthday buddy

MotoDork

My vote is for Watchmen. But if you watch that, it MUST be the directors cut.

T.J. Gengler

SECONDHAND LIONS isn't going to win but please watch it at some point.

TJ Bigelow

- The Golden Child (1986) - Short Circuit (1986) - *batteries Not Included (1987) - Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) - Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) - Clash of the Titans (1981) - Crazy People (1990) - Constantine (2005) - Contact (1997) - Good Morning Vietnam (1987) - Lady in the Water (2006) - Stay Tuned (1992)

Big Trouble is gaining!

Robert Jewell

Hit AMERICAN GRAFFITI, folks. It's one of the best movies ever.

Fantasylover4evr

I am so happy Secondhand Lions is on the list, though the Prince of Egypt is an animated masterpiece :)

T.J. Gengler

I really like the film but doing a YouTube edit reaction around that omnipresent soundtrack is going to be a nightmare.

Sean Novack

If you do Big Trouble In Little China (AWESOME cult classic!) the PLEASE react to Prince of Darkness. They were both directed by John Carpenter and showcase the two extremes of films that he liked to do.

Checo Lara

I hope you give Batman: Mask of the Phantasm a second chance because in my opinion is the best Batman movie ever made so far. Also as always here my recommendations: -True Romance (1993) -Seven Samurai (1954) -Dollar's Trilogy (1964-1966) -Chungking Express (1995) -RoboCop (1987) -Oldboy (2003) -The suicide squad (2021) -Tigers are not Afraid (2017)

Checo Lara

Also it would be cool if you could make a Poll with all the "unpopular" or "unknown movies" in past polls that don't made many votes. Movies like: Heavenly Creatures (1994), Fallen Angels, Carlito's Way, Road to Perdition, The Witch: Part 1 the Subversion, Operation Petticoat, etc. So those movies would have a better chance of getting a reaction.

Checo Lara

For halloween reactions my recommendations are: -Evil Dead Trilogy -Evil Dead Remake (2013) -Hereditary (2018) -The VVitch (2015) -Incident in a Ghostland (2018) -Ju-on: The Gruge (2004) -Ringu (1998) -The Shining (1980) -The Exorcist (1973)

Eric Janssen

I assume by The Magnificent Seven, you mean the glorious 1960 original, with Yul Brynner playing the most badass character in movie Westerns. (At least until he played the gunslinger in “Westworld”.). If you actually saw that nonsensically off-topic 2017 title-grab, then the original will be a new experience for you, too. And as for American Graffiti…yes, kids, hard as it may be to believe, but once upon a time, long ago before you were born, George Lucas actually made GOOD films. But he still didn’t make the 1978 Superman.

Eric Janssen

Absolutely agree: Evil Dead 1 got a lot of cult notoriety when it opened, but it was only a rough student FIRST DRAFT of the rabbit-hole of Evil Dead 2 & Army of Darkness. They all had to humbly start somewhere.

Eric Janssen

Ie. his plotless, nonsensical, self-indulgent Chinese Ghost Story fanboy homage, vs. his plotless, nonsensical, self-indulgent Quatermass fanboy homage. (Although, more to the October season, I always thought Halloween III: Season of the Witch was Carpenter’s BETTER and more tightly plotted self-indulgent Quatermass fanboy homage, than Darkness.)

Chris Lüders

I also hope that the original from 1960 is meant, because as a rule remakes are just weaker than the original. But how you can make such a mess of such a masterpiece when remaking is unbelievable. The remake is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Eric Janssen

And Leon: the Professional is in second. People, seriously: WE. GOTTA. FREAKIN’. TALK. Seems like we were just over this last week—Either one alone would be a cry for help.

Stephen W. Evans

I feel like you could make a "trilogy" watch of the Magnificent Seven. Start with the original classic, the Seven Samurai, then the western, The Magnificent Seven, and then, if you need to, watch the more recent version, which is a remake. You could also throw in the "Magnificent Seven in Space" movie, Battle Beyond the Stars, which had one of the same stars from the original Magnificent Seven in it! That's a lot of investment, though. Just watch the original Magnificent Seven from 1960 with Steve McQueen and call it a day.

Bryan Tuck

I'm still pulling for Superman to win sometime :) But this is another good, eclectic list. The Magnificent Seven - I mean... if you're going to watch just one, it should probably be the 1960 version. But I really like the 2016 remake, too.

Garrick Smalley

Since it is your birthday month I wanted to vote for October Sky buuutt Watchmen got it instead, sorry. I have never seen October Sky so I will now go watch it.

Sir_Dalagad

Some excellent suggestions on this poll

Anonymous

As October is also my birthday month (23rd) I would have gone for October Sky but watchmen will be better.

Anonymous

I wanted to add a recommendation. House of flying daggers (2004). As you love good cinematography. It is one of the most visually beautiful films.

Ian

Just a few then 🙂- my cousin vinny , bird box , book of ELI, national treasure and ofcourse the perfect movie for you vicky how to train your dragon

E

I recently came across The Blue Lagoon, very interesting movie.

Checo Lara

Lets all give a chance to Prince of Egypt is probably the best 2d animation movie in history.

Eric Janssen

When another reactor didn’t get the Blue Lagoon parody jokes in “Top Secret”, we laughed about how the once zeitgeist early-80’s hit clearly did NOT age well 😂 , and that nope, this one would NEVER get one of those “underappreciated” video-generation rescues from cult fans who think the entire world should see the movie they came across on streaming. Please, let’s not even start.

As Good As It Gets, Dunkirk, Goodfellas, V for Vendetta, The Man from UNCLE, Master & Commander, Predator, The Kingsman, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Neverending Story, The Breakfast Club, Reign of Fire, Bohemian Rhapsody, and the Alexander Speech (mutiny). Seriously VKunia, I just gave you a gold-mine :)

Logan Worrall

October sky is a great film you should watch it sometime even if it doesn't win . Always great to come back to the rocket boys

Adam Grunther

Damn. Watchmen was so close. I really hope that you react to it some time in the future.
