Yeah this episode is pretty goofy lol clearly a homage to alien. Also you might have spoke too soon about wanting more backstory episodes haha thats all I will say.

Bebop used to be on Adult Swim at 1 AM EST, imagine watching this in the midst of night as a young teen!

Still one of my favorite episodes lol... There’s such a chill way each episode is approached so I always found it refreshing to have an episode like this. It’s also a testament that so many different subgenres are in this show. Overall it’s noir, but its also SciFi, also a bit western, and now a soft horror. Cowboy Bebop really has it all.

Funny you should mention this reminding you of Alien, because it's a tribute episode to Alien. Also, Spike programmed the ship to land on Mars so that's how they get help.

haha, I loved your reaction at the end when Edward just eats it! I have to admit that as far as my memory goes, it's the only episode in its kind where they don't interact with anyone else? I think? Nonetheless it's still pretty goofy and it totally made me think of Alien too. I don't want it to end either but still looking forward for the next episodes, you'll definitely get more story for them before it's all over!
