After finishing our reaction and conversation for The Vampire Diaries 4x5, we realized we had missed a big talking point from our conversation! We put the camera back on and had the conversation, then I forgot to add it to the edit!

🤔🤔 I thought Elena wanted to get Stefan back because she knew Stefan didn't go back to his ripper lifestyle by choice, he was forced into it by Klaus. She obviously wanted 'her' Stefan back for them both but mainly just wanted to help him.

“I’m fine with her either way brother.” I love how Damon loves elena as a vampire or a human. It reminds me of john’s speech to elena when he said, “I love you, whether as a human or vampire, I love you all the same.” And in that particular moment in season 2x21 we see damon and elena look at each other when he said that line. The foreshadowing in this show is crazy.

Eh I can see your point, but Elena wanted Stefan back but Stefan couldn’t because Klaus had to believe Elena was dead so that’s why Stefan told her and Damon to let him go. Also, with Elena wanting Stefan back, she only wanted the old Stefan back. Every time Stefan showed his ripper side Elena did not like that part of him at all. She couldn’t accept that Stefan was a ripper and she always tried to fix him up instead of realizing that Stefan has that dark side in him.
