Hello, everyone!

I straight-up forgot to make yesterday's post. Oops.

Progress on Corsair is going well. I've managed to get all the scenes built and lit. In total, there are 6 scenebuilds: 3 major scenes, 2 hallways, and 1 exterior shot.

I've got all the core animation locked in and finalized, which combined with the scenebuilding and lighting being done, means I'm now being bottlenecked by audio. My optimistic hope of Innie, Ivan, and Milly all being able to get their audio to me over the weekend was unfortunately not satisfied, though I did know that was a bit of a moonshot.

Though to his credit, Ivan not only get his audio to me over the weekend - he got it to me within three hours of me sending the email off to him. The absolute mad lad.

The formal deadline I set for everyone to get the audio to me is Friday the 19th, though I do intend to poke Innie and Milly on Wednesday the 17th just to make sure it didn't get caught in the shuffle, since I haven't heard anything back from either and I turn into an anxious mess when I go too long without any communication whatsoever.

Until I get the rest of the audio, the only thing left I can do on Corsair is lip-sync Ivan's audio, and add his gesticulation for the non-sex sequences. Beyond that, there are bits of model-work I can touch up here and there, some minor clipping through outfits. But otherwise, I'm gonna be largely sitting on my hands.

It's not often that I actually end up pulling ahead of my voice talent, usually I'm laughably behind. But it does happen on occasion.

So if I do find myself having some idle time, I'll spend it marking out the Frozen video some more for dubbing. That thing is in an awkward spot schedule-wise, and this would be the perfect opportunity for that. Beyond that, I've been idly sketching out ideas for future videos. Might spend a day and just buckle down on those. We'll see.

As a final note, I do want to say that the visual language you will see in this Corsair video is not final. Building a Corsair video was very much a last-minute decision (recall how I spent basically the entirety of December desperately flying through ideas looking for something to make), and as such, the assets weren't properly prepared.

I intend to make some design changes to both Medusa's and Artemis' outfit, as well as find entirely new assets for the Corsair (the ship not the IP) and different design languages for the various factions.

Just want to throw that out there right now. I will, of course, bring it up again when another Corsair project comes along. Just so people don't freak out as to why they have an entirely new ship - they don't, it's just the one shown here is a placeholder.

Hopefully I'll be able to get all the audio by Friday January 19, so I can have it all in place by Monday January 22 and have it sent off to my sound designer to work on whilst I lip-sync and polish. Friday January 26 is still possible for a final render beginning, and I am still tentatively aiming for a February 2 release.

But, of course and as always, these are all just projections. Don't pin me down to any date. It'll be done when it's done.

That's all for now. Until next week, everyone!

Just want you to know how great your progress reports are, and how appreciated. Very good of you to go out of your way to post this stuff, and give your Patrons the 4-1-1 on what you're working on. Thanks, and keep up the great work!

Thanks. I won't lie it usually feels like I'm screaming into the void here, and I've noted a few times in the past how sometimes it really gets my spirit down. But at the end of the day, its your guys and gals' support that lets me keep doing this, and your guys' and gals' money that not only goes into the production of these videos, but also paying to keep a roof over my head and food on my table. So I feel like the very least I can do is offer full transparency on what I am doing. If nothing else, it helps me justify to myself what I do. Imposter syndrome can be strong working a non-traditional job like this.
