No. They filmed Sometimes a Great Notion before the strike as well, and would have surely fluffed it up into at least a series-ending movie event type of thing at the very least. That ep would have been the outro for the show.

The Sound Track !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you notice how much Gaeta's Lament (as I call it) is woven into all of the episodes since his leg was taken (and 2, I think before). It is a heartbreaking melody using middle eastern scales and bending the melody in the rending way his body was bent and broken. I remember watching this with friends, knowing what was coming and being shocked at how early they introduce his musical theme and for how long they kept it going. It tears and pulls at me every episode. Crying every time ... every time. It is so tormented...
