Kat was the most unexpected character to get so much development. Even I thought when she was introduced with the "Nuggets" in Season 1 she would just be a background character. It was definitely a slow burn as we saw more of a focus on her and actually interacting with the main characters. I'm among the people who has enjoyed seeing you go through the same emotions I did when this first aired :) Huge props to Bear McCreary for the song "Kat's Sacrifice" that was her theme in this episode. Every time I hear it always gets me emotional.
