No matter which version you watch of the 5 extended episodes somebody is going to be inconvenienced. You can't make everybody happy, so why deprive yourself of the full versions? I've never even seen the short versions before and so far they are missing a lot. The next extended episode is S4EP12. It doesn't really matter to me I guess, but every time I have to skip forward in my copy, it's something you don't get to see at all. The people watching the short version can pause their video just as easy as I can skip ahead in mine.

I'm so sad that you didn't appreciate this episode. I've waited 6 months for you to catch up to this episode and the escape from New Caprica. I remember back when I watched this show for the first time, and I identified with Lee, as a guy. Starbuck was that toxic girl that he couldn't escape, and it was magic for me to see it on the screen as in real life. I guess that is the beauty of the show, different people see the same events in a different light. At least we agree about the stellar acting. Admiral Adama and president Roslin really anchor the show with their heavy weight acting. It's wild to see how Adama can be at his most fearsome when his voice is barely louder than a whisper. The only one who can really stand up to him is the president. I agree there are no romance vibes between them, but there is certainly a measure of closeness. They are the mom and dad of the fleet, and when it gets really difficult, there is really no one else they can turn to for advice.

I just hate the Starbucks/Lee Dynamic. I’m not somebody who loves toxicity and loves the drama that comes from it. I’m not saying that’s the case with everybody but it’s a real turn off for me plot wise.
