I think Tigh would have asked to be the one to kill Ellen. If it had to be done, he'd want it to be him.

Wow, no one supports genocide. What a shock. Karl committed multiple murder and treason. That's fine. I don't quite believe that even if the plan had gone through, it could be called genocide. Nuking not one but two Japanese cities during World War 2 was not genocide, but it was pretty horrific. I feel that if they had used the virus to wipe out the Cylon MURDER fleet, it would have been a rational military maneuver. The Cylons on their home planet and the Cylons on the occupied Colonies would be unaffected. Those Cylons are basically the "civilians" in my mind. All the Cylons in the Fleet are the military arm of the Cylon government, and when you are at war, the military is the proper target for aggression. Not to say that the rules of war are good in any way, but better to fight soldiers than slaughter innocent civilians. But I digress. The writers of the show wanted us to believe it was an all or nothing proposition, and I can't believe it to be so.
