I feel like Aang's hesitancy to Zuko joining is only partially due to his distrust. He was pretty clearly trying to avoid discussion of finding a firebending teacher before - because of his trauma at burning Katara and vow to never firebend. I think he was jumping at the opportunity to turn Zuko down as an excuse not to learn firebending. Also, I'm actually looking forward to you watching the movie. People like to hate on it, but it's a real interesting experience as a fan of the show to see just why it failed so badly as an adaptation. Writing choices, casting choices, directing choices, editing choices, acting choices, effects choices, it fails at every level. Being a fully assimilated fan of the show, you'll be watching it and marking every moment the film-makers make the obvious wrong decision. Don't look at it as a movie to hate, but a crash course in how not to adapt ATLA.

Just a small drop of flashback Iroh last episode, and none this episode is disappointing. Not to mention this episode starting off making me sad and sort of disappointed with Iroh for killing the last dragon, but then they did a complete 180 on that situation and I "got dirt in my eyes" something fierce. You still sure that "gemstone" is NOT a dragon egg? At first I thought it was, then there were people, and I thought it wasn't. Then there were dragons, so now, I wonder. The Fire Nation are horrible. Drove Sky Bisons to extinction, and maybe the dragons too? I wonder what other species may have died out due to the imbalance of the world?
