FULL LENGTH REACTION

Any recommendations on what order to start watching the Star Wars animated shows in? I watched your Tales of the Jedi reactions the other night and really enjoyed it so I wanna start watching the other shows but I'm not sure where to start. Will I be completely lost if I start with the Bad Batch?

Angela, I absolutely adore you! I've followed you through the expanse and now star wars is hitting us emotionally as hard as it did at times, this one hit hard, I think the music as he fell just elevated the scene through the roof.

Clone Wars gives you all the backstory of the clones, it changes Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith forever for you. In the best/worst ways. Rebels is, I think, the best animated series. The depth of Jedi lore is a treasure trove. The Bad Batch were introduced in Clone Wars. Now all of that to tell you this: my best friend watched season one of the bad batch first and then binge watched Clone Wars and Rebels. I don’t think I even watched all of clone wars. I think I watched an essential episode list so there’s plenty of stuff that I’ve missed as well.

I think I'll start with Clone Wars. Good call on an essential episodes list, it looks like there's a lot of filler which I was afraid of but thankfully people made a lot of great guides on what to watch and what to skip. I definitely need all the episodes with Ahsoka, she's such a cool character!

I cut out the visual and left the music playing in the background, and it kept getting flagged for copyright. I really wanted to keep it too because it was so moving.

I promise you watching clone wars will make you a huge fan of Asoka and captain Rex. 100% no doubt. But I would also be cautious to tell you that the essential list is just so you understand the big picture. Those “filler“ episodes have shown to not be filler. There are plenty of characters that get introduced in other shows and I’m like who is that everyone’s like “don’t you remember that from clone wars?” so definitely the essentials get you on the right track.

I found this guide which seems to be pretty thorough, they list a lot of episodes with tags like Maybes, Should Watch and Essentials. It seems like they mention most episodes that have good stuff in them like character development or introductions, even though they're not essential. I'll watch everything on that list (quick math is about 100 of the 133 episodes) and hopefully I'll get all the juicy bits!

Sure thing! http://longish95.blogspot.com/2020/05/how-to-bingewatch-star-wars-clone-wars.html?m=1

Self care girl, self care. This was rough. As far as Tech, I'm sticking with didn't see the body. Filoni made me fall in love with one squad of clones and watch all of them get killed very openly. Echo is the last of that squad, and for a long time I thought he was dead. There is gonna be a lot of tragedy in this time, but he always gives us kernels of hope. Yep, never trust a trandoshan. But at least they went to the effort of at least showin her visibly having doubts and shame. The Omega clone thread is a nice bit of making a mystery out of something we more or less know is the end result. Like how they did in Rebels.

Even though I dislike cheap, off screen, near-death saves I wouldn't mind if Saw did a quick loop back to grab Tech in time. I really wanted the WHOLE squad back at once, even if only for a limited time. Still think we got a 5% chance he's somewhere alive. Be really crazy if they somehow pulled his consciousness into a new body like they are trying to do with Palps, that one might be a bit much though.

I was shocked by what happened with Tech. There’s still a part of me that wonders if there’s a hope. After all, if you don’t see the body…maybe something caught him in the fog, or he somehow survived, and now he’s being held similarly to Crosshair…but that’s probably me hoping for TV show impossibility. You said were thinking there was an Omega clone in The Mandalorian…just one show off. :)
