Holden in the books is not as whiny or some similar kind of character flaw the show gives him, I hate how they portray him as the series goes on, so different from the book

As I've been reading book 1 I see that so clearly. He's so well put together in the books. In the show they had him unraveling.

Thank you :) I'm glad someone else sees that too. I had made it to almost the end of the second season & basically quit because of it. I am much more a book reader than a TV watcher, but I enjoyed watching Firefly with you I thought I'd give Expanse another chance, while watching it again with you. It is a well made show with great actors and always felt like I wanted to finish it, I just got frustrated with how they portrayed Holden :)

Some leave in the full audio, some do it the way you do but I don't think keeping visuel+audio is common.

All the reactors I watch on here leave in full audio/pip. No one has ever had a problem and many have been doing it for yrs. I know a lot of people do the syncing thing, but I have no idea why. I don't have copies of most shows I've watched, so syncing doesn't work for me.

If you don’t mind sharing a few, I’d like to check out their Patreon and see how they have that setup. I’m not against it, I’ve wanted to leave in a few scenes but if they are doing the whole thing I think I’d like to see it.

I've always found the pip windows to be frustratingly small. And a lot of them get completely scuffed with goofy filters. Sometimes feels like you need binoculars with filter blockers in order to enjoy it. Sync ftw. Regarding season 1 - think of it as a prerequisite course for the other seasons. It's not the most thrilling thing in the world, but you need to pass it before you get to the fun part. And once you get to the fun part, you'll be very happy that you stuck with it.

None of the reactors I watch have the tiny pip windows or filters. I've watched some of the type you're talking about, and I always immediately unsubbed...those are awful. I use a laptop, and maximize the video and have no problem. As for TE, S1, I wish people would stop saying it's slow. It's one of my favorite seasons.

Re full-length format, IMO sync is best. No audio or video from the show is needed. A 3 second count-down to play helps the initial sync. It would also really help if you could show the episode's timecode. Without that, its difficult to resync after a pause.

I’m going to try to record the episode with the time showing. I’m posting some of them with the entire show playing but after five minutes it will be black-and-white with no sound. Just trying to see what works best
