Way back at the start of the show Butcher talked about going after the supes’ reputations as that was their only weak point, so Firecracker’s play is a definite shift. There’s the obvious real world parallel of course, which has become even more apparent in recent weeks. Sage certainly seems to be playing a game of “Let’s you and them fight” presumably with the goal of being the last one standing. The reference to Marie and the others was interesting, I am curious to see how the different stories converge.

I'm enjoying s4 which I'm surprised since I thought it might get old, but it's still fresh, and I'm greatly enjoying your viewing as well. In regard to the mirroring of our political landscape, I just read on ScreenGeek how it's not only deliberate, but they're really leaning into it. The best reference for me is Firecracker who is inspired by Marjorie Taylor Greene and others who continue to be Trump sycophants like "spores" as Eric Kripke puts it. Fav quote: “Like, you had Trump, but now you have these Trump spawn that are trying to outdo each other for how outrageous and sexualized and gun-toting and slavishly obedient they can be.” Gives a lot of context to s4 and how much the show really imitates life.
