boy that Mamoru looks so familiar, I wonder why? he almost looks like tux... nah has to be a coincidence. You can't have a magical girl show without dramatic posing, a lot of them are inspired by fashion magazines, so it makes sense you're reminded of JoJo. yeah it's a weird detail, Crystal is mostly faithful to the manga, but there are a few things here and there, Jadeite was burnt to a crisp here but sticks around a bit for some reason in the anime, the Sailor Guardians don't have Batman's no kill rule, so if you get in their way you're dead, and brutally so usually, lot of melting and crispy corpses in the manga.
