I noticed something watching this episode with you. The gangster Ziro is that annoying nephew of Jabba the Hutt from that movie. The alien with Red Eyes is Cad Bane. So the Martez sisters were present during that whole senate hostage crisis ordeal during Season 3 (Season 1 chronologically)

And the Jedi was likely Luminara Unduli, so it's no surprise she was a bit cold and not at all comforting in her demeanor.

This episode is kinda a big reason why many people don't like this arc. Lots of stuff happens, but we don't really get anywhere in the end.

Aside from a guest appearance in The Bad Batch, there is no connection to the rest of the universe. We already knew about the Pykes from Maul and their affiliation with Dooku. I guess the spice is connected to Book of Boba Fett. Should have done a Dark Disciple or Son of Dathomir adaptation.
