Aside from the great nicknames, this episode got me hyped up for this upcoming battle! And I really love our core 3 here!

So basically, Black King is Rimuru if he was a misanthrope and arrived too late to a world where human kings are even bigger jerks.

Nobunaga is depicted as being somewhat off his rocker in Drifters. And it's pretty accurate if exaggerated to his real life. During his youth he was known as the Fool of Owari (Owari was his home province) due to his eccentric behaviour. He was known to have lead a gang of Kabukimono. Basically the equivalent of Samurai Hipsters. Not exactly the kind of behaviour befitting of the heir of lord in those days. Hell his strange behaviour actually triggered a succession crisis when his father finally died. He also had a fondness for firearms imported by the Portuguese (as demonstrated a couple episodes ago) and things foreign in general. Apparently he had a set of Plate Armour made using European (specifically Italian) methods of smithing but made in Japanese fashion. He also kept a retainer known as Yasuke, who's claim to fame was being the only recorded black samurai. A slave formerly owned a Portuguese missionary, that Nobunaga mostly made a samurai on a lark. He was also known to give rather rude nicknames to his friends and foes alike based on animals they apparently reminded him of. For example Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a peasant who started out as his sandal bearer and later became one of his most skilled generals, was known as Monkey.

i don't know if it was mentioned before or not, but one of the reasons you might enjoy the animation so much is because it was made by the same people who made HELLSING, aaand we got a version of BIG TITIED POLICE GIRL as well :P
