This fight is significant because it’s showcasing how much of a power gap there still is between Luffy and the Four Emperors. Cracker is ONLY a Emperor Commander, so he’s one of Big Mom’s top subordinates. And as of right now, Luffy had to pull out his trump card (Gear 4) on him and is still struggling. As of this moment, Cracker has the second highest known bounty behind Jack from Zou who had a 1 Billion bounty. Meanwhile Luffy only has a 500 Million bounty. Jack is also a Emperor Commander, but for Kaido And Marco The Phoenix was once a Emperor Commander for Whitebeard All these guys are stronger than Doflamingo, the fights are only going to get harder for Luffy and his crew moving forward. And don’t forget Cracker is a 3 Sweet General, so that means there’s THREE of these guys who are on Emperor Commander and Cracker might not even be the strongest one. So the fact that Luffy is in Big Mom’s territory and already so early had to go Gear 4 clearly indicates he’s nowhere near ready to face Big Mom nor possibly Kaido! So how is Luffy gonna defeat Big Mom here?! That’s the significance.

I think you're gonna love this fight! I also think that it's really weird for this to be a devil fruit that's surprisingly super good. The little cookies that British people have with tea? That's the one that's super strong? Makes you appreciate how creative Oda is though.

Cracker coats the biscuits in haki and has an unlimited supply so that’s why the DF is strong, his defensive capabilities are on a whole other level.

The problem with Cracker is that he has solid Armament Haki which increases the defence of his Biscuit shields and sword attacks, also adding the problem of him creating many Biscuit soldiers... When this episode/chapter came out it was another reminder that Commanders (Generals) from an Emperor's crew are really f*cking strong compared to our MC. Whether it's having strong Haki, high Bounty or polished Devil fruit abilities... Commanders are no joke:

Cracker is Nux Taku's one of the favorite characters.. But because it's Nux I'm not sure if he's genuine or just trolling. 😂

During these couple episodes, and thinking on it throughout this arc really, the series really goes ham in trying to drill it into the Straw Hats and the viewers heads that Luffy and the gang are NOT ready to enter the world of the Emperors. The strongest of the Straw Hats is struggling with only one of the 3 top subordinates of an Emperor, really paints you a picture that going gung ho forward like Luffy usually does isn't gonna work anymore.

Yeah! Awesome! Luffy went into his super cool and ultra powerful Gear 4th! Now he's gonna beat that bad guy in one hit! Yeah!!! Wait... Now the Bad Guy is revealing his true identity and that he was only using a fraction of his power... And his Devil Fruit power is, to quote him, unlimited... And Luffy still only has a couple dozen minutes in Gear 4th at any given time... Hmm... Maybe Cracker will just get bored and leave?
