Fun fact: Jotaro's Stand from this fight is referred to as "Star Platinum: The World"! Although he was killed, Dio will live on through "ZA WARUDO" and "ROADO RORA DA!" memes.

you know a character is amazing if the first thing he thinks of after getting revived is to troll the one that did it.

I feel like a lot of things were forgotten by the writer for this fight, Dio no longer uses a lot of his vampire powers he had in part 1, like the eye lasers or freezing powers, also Joseph technically should be a vampire or ghoul now after having Dio's blood transferred into him, like what happened with vanilla ice and the vampires in part 1, I honestly think the final fights in the parts before and after part 3 are a lot more satisfying, this one feels a little weak.

Joseph’s blood wasn’t good enough to heal DIO’s bad leg. That’s why he exploded. The most likely reason the blood didn’t work because of traces of hamon in it and that’s also probably why Joseph didn’t become a vampire after receiving it.

First time I saw this episode, I had just gotten back from a Weird Al show, so I was like "Joseph is 100% on my wavelength today" 😂 Also, how fucking cool is it that Polnareff lives? He's consistantly making you think hes about to die all throughout the show, but then he gets to go home 🥺

Joseph returning from the brink of death, consciousness sinks in. Opens eyes a bit sees, duo's corpse and the machinery linked to him and gets it, all of it. On the spot decides to risk his health and proceeds to troll his grandson that dio is back. Even pushes himself to use his St and for extra purple lighting. A troll to the very end. What a man, the one and only Joseph joestar. The man who defeated a few gay aztec gods

When Jotaro mentions the Western gunslinger thing, it reminded me. Jotaro is inspired by Clint Eastwood, and his cool attitude and quotes from his western movies and dirty harry. The author loves to pile references to all sorts into JoJo.

I always thought he was defeated because Jotaro destroyed his stand, which is basically like ripping his soul directly out, so his healing factor doesn't really matter at that point.

Yeah JoJo sometimes changes their op at the end of the season so I will tell you to react to it or hopefully someone else will. I can tell you a few days before so you can watch the original opening on your own and the you can record the other version one so you notice the changes. Normally at the end of the series the op's don't have spoilers.
