general Armstrong wants to gain trust. And she also knows that Father doesn't give a shit about Furher's wife. So it's a win-win situation. She doesn't really set Mustang up, but at the same time she gets closer to Father. Btw general Armstrong has been doing a lot of shady stuff in Central command center in order to gain support from Father and higher-ups (for example treating her brother like shit and talking shit to Mustang and other stuff).

There's something that always confused me about the Pride vs Heinkel fight. Does Pride's container not regenerate like the other Homunculi? If it did, the red lightning from the healing should have given him enough of a light source to kill Heinkel, but I can't recall if his human body is ever shown actually healing itself.

Gluttony's gone for good because his stone was devoured by pride and unable to be reabsorbed into father like last time. That's why lust can't come back becuause her stone was used up and destroyed after her fight with mustang

They want the wife because they don't really want her being harmed, if she is not with Mustang she might just be killed at some point as collateral damage. She is still a figure with importance to the people of the country in terms of status, I think everyone likes her a great deal. Father doesn't understand because he doesn't understand people, but as someone else pointed out, Armstrong outed her being used as a hostage because Father won't deem it as something that matters, but since Armstrong is right and telling the truth, she is enforcing her "role" as someone who is on board with Father's plan. Olivier kind of reminds me of Itachi in the sense that they will never let slip their true goal and will play out their role to the bitter end, but at their heart they are probably the ones who want to do the most good.

Don't know if you caught onto this, but as he died Gluttony said. "Help me Lust." It makes you kind of sad when you realize that Gluttony is just a big man-child who is terrified of being alone without his big sister.

Fun fact: General Grumman is Riza Hawkeyes maternal grandfather and in the manga he’s asking Roy when he’ll marry Riza xD Also Gluttony crying out for Lust in his final moments is truly heartbreaking and shows the relationship the two probably had. And the irony of him getting eaten... so far every Homunculi that died did so very ironically. Lust was bested by a man who has the reputation of being a "womanizer" and she also died because of her bloodlust (if she hadn’t tried to torture Roy and instead killed him she would’ve won) and Gluttony got eaten. This show does a lot of things like this :) The promised day is almost there and I can tell you every episode from now on is a 12/10. The next episodes are masterpieces even in the context of this anime which is already damn near perfect. Im already excited for ep 53/54 >.< Loved your reaction as always!
