Once again Katsumi as a character improved, the Manga only does him better currently. Also anyone else notice that Baki is a little hesitant for this fight against his dad, not because he is scared or because he doesn’t think he can win. He just doesn’t seem to want to do it anymore. He seems to constantly remind himself it has to happen, and that it is a normal father son thing.

Let it not be forgotten the impetus of the fight you are about to see, all things considered, is cooking a pot of rice. At this point as one broken kid to another it's kinda sad seeing Baki just want whatever normality he can make out of his family... Also it's not clearly addressed for some reason, but title of the miniarc is "Retsu's Footwork" which is why he's doing boxing. Is it relevant? No, but it is 4 episodes.
