And now you know how Zeref and Mavis know one another. Given that its a "curse" it begs curiosity on who or what put this curse on Zeref and why. You can also say that if Mavis is the mother of Fairytail then Zeref is the godfather since he trained its founding members on how to use magic, which is funny given that Precht later becomes the dark wizard Hades and also dies to Zeref after his failed attempt to wipe out Tenrou and "awaken Zeref". In a way, Zeref is kind of a founding member of Fairy Tail, since he is the one who taught them magic here haha. Who would have thought he helped create his future enemy!
