You met the younger versions of Hades(guy with the eyepatch) and Warrod aka treeman who told Natsu and co about Tartaros after they helped the giants get unfrozen. And as Ian said, Yuri is Makarov's father. I do think the village's destruction planted the seeds for Mavis vision of Fairy Tail; she wanted to create a guild that cared for its members and looked after one another like family. I don't fully blame Zera as she's just a kid; I blame her father completely though. He was a douche and seeing him get killed by Blue Skull was justice, even though they're just villains of a different flavor. This arc is essentially the origin story of how Fairy Tail came to be and I do think at the end of the arc, you'll learn why Hades went evil.

I don't think you noticed it on screen (because it was a lot of text to read and it popped up fast), but for the three guys at the end who rolled up to the island: the first guy was the broccoli/tree man Natsu and crew visited a while back, 2nd guy was Master Hades/future 2nd master of Fairy Tail, who fought our crew on Tenrou Island where Zeref was, and last guy was Makarov's father. I love Fairy Tail Zero! Such a short but good and sad story arc!
