Vegapunk saving the knowledge in those books was such a boss move; it ensured the deaths of Robin's people did not die for nothing. As much as I hate people like Kaido, Orochi, Doffy, Arlong, Blackbeard, Big Mom, etc. The W.G. stand above them in terms of hatability because they present themselves as the force of order; when they're all about THEIR order. They're the ones the people they govern are supposed to trust to keep them safe from pirates and other bad people, but they're easily worse than those they're "protecting" their citizens from. Imu wiped out Lulusia in what seemed to be nothing more than a weapons test. Thousands of lives erased all for Imu to flex their power. They also hide and cover up things that would expose them for what and who they are. Hell they're so damn corrupt Aokiji put in his resignation papers and quit the marines because he knew Akainu was going to be a tyrant. I mean hell, if Blackbeard's crew were to storm up to The Celestial Dragon's domain, slaughter them, the Gorosei, and Imu, check me off as #TeamBlackBeard for a hot minute.
