As she worked hard on unfolding the branches of her little white Christmas tree, Katelyn felt pretty damn ridiculous, but she knew that it would all be worth it in the end.

Every year that she had lived with her boyfriend, currently fiancé, she had always loved the Christmas decorations that they put up in the house, but despised having to help put them up. She adored looking at them when all the work was finished, but whenever it came time to put them up (Or even take them down.) Katelyn seemed to always find a way to get out of the work by coming up with some excuse. Needless to say, she did it often enough that her fiancé was pretty frustrated.

This year he gave her one last chance to help out, making sure that he planned the day they were going to put up decorations and put it up on the calendar; only doing this after getting multiple confirmations from Katelyn that she was totally free that day. One way or another, he was going to make sure that she was well aware of what day and what time they were going to be doing it. She even seemed really excited. (Like she always was right before the decorations went up.)

Unfortunately, just as he had expected, when it came time to actually do it, Katelyn couldn’t help out. She claimed that she’d totally forgotten about it, and that she was going out with her friends that night.

“Katelyn, you promised me that you wouldn’t do this again. That putting up the decorations would be a team project.”

“Oh dear I know! But you won’t believe where the ladies and I are going tonight. It’s going to be amazing!”

Before her fiancé could even get much else out; she kissed him on the cheek, grabbed her purse, and was out the door! Annoyed, but not surprised, her fiancé David started putting up the other decorations... but his plan was in place.

The next day Katelyn was more than thrilled to see all the decorations, even more so that they were all up and she hadn’t needed to lift a finger to do so. But then... she realized they were missing something. The tree! The tree that Santa puts the gifts under! It wasn’t there.

She went to find David and found him cooking in the kitchen where she immediately asked about the lack of a tree, to which he replied,

“Well, I know how bummed you can get when you don’t get to put the start on top of the tree. So I decided that I would wait and let you do the entire tree on your own!”

Katelyn raised her confused eyebrows at him, already upset that some work had been left for her. “On my own?” She asked.

“That’s right sweetie. Except... there’s a catch.”

Intrigued but a little wary of her soon-to-be husband’s occasional trickery, Katelyn said, “What kind of catch?”

The grin that grew on her fiancé’s face told her that whatever it was probably wouldn’t lean in her favor. “Well, you’re going to have a time limit to put up the tree in, but you’re going to be doing it before... a certain little something happens.” Going into the bathroom, he reached under the sink and grabbed something. When he came back and she saw what was sitting in his hands... she didn’t like where this was going.

It was a diaper! A big white adult diaper!

“What the hell is that?” She cried out. She didn’t know what she was expecting him to bring back, but a huge puffy diaper was not it at all. Maybe some lingerie, but certainly not this.

David chuckled at the confused look on her face before explaining, “Remember when my grandma was here?” David asked. “Well, she left a couple of these behind. And since I know you’re always desperately needing a bathroom break while we put up decorations, you’ll be wearing this while you put the tree up.” Katelyn eyed her fiancé for any sign that he was kidding, but he appeared to be 100% serious. “If you can put the whole tree up before you... need to use your diaper, then you win. But if you use it, even a little bit, then I win.”

Katelyn thought about his offer for a long time, wondering what he could possibly be offering that was good enough to make up for something so embarrassing. She blushed deeply at the thought that he could even think she’d actually use a diaper; but she guessed that would make the bet easier for her to win. Despite herself though, she was never one to turn away from a challenge. Katelyn smiled and asked, “Okay, maybe, but first tell me what are the terms of this bet?”
