Carry on, yey. The original music is such a treat. I've always liked this episode as a set-up for what's to come and to finally attach a "face" to our main villain. Dean and Sam argument at the end always breaks my heart. It's also a perfect mirror of the one they had in episode 1 but with switched viewpoints.

In terms of the music - the season 1 budget was teensy - so much so Jensen and Jared's fee was also tiny so they shared an apartment to cut costs. That's why they couldn't afford the full in perpetuity all media rights to the songs in the first season. Season 2 onwards they secured the rights to the songs so they're on streaming now (although i think there might be an exception or some parts of the episodes cut - but very infrequently)
