In Kaguya Sama The First Kiss That Never Ends episode 2, About Kaguya Shinomiya, Part 4, Kaguya Wants to be Noticed (Ice), & Kaguya Wants to Forgive (Ice), Kaguya wants Miyuki to kiss her and does everything she possibly can to make it happen like kicking him, fleeing from him, insulting him, and destroying his self confidence, but for some reason he won't get the message!

Lol Kaguya also tells Miyuki directly to kiss her multiple times, leans into him, goes on her tippy toes closing her eyes and making a "kiss me" face right up in his grill. But yeah its her fault Miyuki doesn't understand LMFAO And when she wanted him to hold her hand... she couldn't have been making it more obvious in what message she was giving. Miyuki is just being incredibly dense, which who can blame him!

I've read quite a bit past this in the manga now, and at the end of one of the chapters the author left a note which I thought was really interesting. He said, "The wise man and the fool have been compared often throughout this manga. It takes the wise man a decade to learn the truth; it takes the fool a century. But it takes the wise man a hundred years to learn love; the fool already knew it." As Shirogane and Kaguya are constantly called "geniuses" but can't come to the most simple solution that would make them the happiest.

Then she should just kiss him, the entire idea of "look at me asking to be kissed because I want to kiss you" instead of just kissing him is incredibly dumb and antiquated. She's just the same coward that she says he is. For what reason, because she's a girl and it "should be the guy" who does it? That's ridiculous and self-defeating. She straight up used physical violence against him and is still somehow not the one at fault.

“For what reason” Kaguya has many reasons why she behaves in the way she does. Her upbringing and the family environment she was raised in is what causes her to have these personality disorders and trust issues. Its not dumb to have personal trauma from a childhood where you got absolutely 0 love from anyone in your life. As for the gender role stuff, we are in fundamental disagreement.

Yeah, Kaguya is definitely a complex character and I have a lot of empathy for her, and while I can understand her awkward and moody behavior stems from personal trauma, it still doesn't justify her behavior. Trauma and your upbringing doesn't justify bad behavior, but it does explain her behavior which is still wrong. She isn't a bad person, but her actions are sometimes horrendous and bordering on physical and emotional abuse. It just goes to show how flawed she is and how much she has to work on I guess, and that's fine. Being a good person but making bad decisions, consciously or unconsciously, is something a lot of people do, myself included. I guess the takeaway is that as much as we love someone, it's okay to call them out and hold them accountable when they're acting stupid or bad. Don't know how much sense I made...

Yeah I mean she’s a teenage girl with a lot of issues, she deserves way more slack than she gets on here imo. Idk maybe im just Miyuki and love her despite the clear flaws but people on here just seem to genuinely dislike Kaguya as a person😂 which its not like i dont understand why, i do, but she is the main character of the show so

Also the whole "omg she did physical violence against him" thing is pure cringe. People these days are so soft its insane, a little rough housing isn't felony assualt or domestic abuse. She is also a smaller, weaker girl and Miyuki is a stronger, taller boy.

Sympathy for Miyuki: He's listening to what she's saying and taking it very seriously, so much so that he can't read between the lines. His anxiety doesn't help at all, especially since Kaguya is really driving home the feeling that he's blowing it. No hate towards Kaguya, I get her side too, but strongly sympathize with Miyuki in this episode.

Yeah for sure I think everyone who watches this episode is gonna side with Miyuki. Kaguya is obviously acting quite ridiculous, but there are extremely valid and important reasons for that behavior which I know you understand Goodwin but others might not.
