The age difference in a relationship is being blown out of proportion in today's society, because women stay single until an increasingly older age. This is not good for the current societal structure and the State, and there is a conscientious effort to shame men so that they, as the saying goes "make honest women" out of the 30-35+ singles. This goes against human nature, and specifically men's. Our subconscious hivemind has not caught up to a society that has changed in an extremely fast pace the past 100 years, from how it raised us in the past thousands of years. It is normal for men to look for younger women. "She could be his daughter" and "He's grooming the naive young girl" are being thrown around a lot, because they invoke feelings of disgust (incest and criminal behaviour) even when they don't apply at all. A 17yo and a 27yo that just met are obviously not related and there is obviously nothing sinister. But when 45% of women aged 25-45 will be single by 2030 (source: https://www.morganstanley.com/ideas/womens-impact-on-the-economy), logic goes out the window and men need to be steered accordingly.

It is not weird to, as a man, want to take care of the person you are in a relationship with. Case in point: Look at egirls, just chatting streamers, o.f. models and sugar babes. There is absolutely no logical reason for men (and the vast majority are men) to be spending their money like that with no apparent value gained in return, unless we accept that they have a natural instinct to provide. As a species we have evolved by having the male provide for the female.
