Here we are safe. Here we are free. ATLA writers finna be like, “What if we showed our 12 year old audience the dangers of authoritarian government and censorship?”. It really is such a miracle a show as good as Avatar was written when it was for such a young audience, transformed so many minds on important issues. I genuinely believe that show made the world a better place by teaching a generation of children actually good values.

I was just thinking today about how much I miss the Avatar days. Hopefully we get new stuff soon haha

he can't turn into a bear anymore, that form and March's form were taken

remember that up to this point Fushi can only turn into things that have died, so im wondering if you think Parona is dead, or if he's unlocked a new ability where they don't have to be dead

"The world is not all Marches and Gugus." So true, so true.

I thought about the Parona death theory after watching, but what I'm hoping is that he unlocked a new ability.

And remember, Fushi feels others' pain, so everyone getting slaughtered right in front of him hurt like a BITCH

I know a lot of people don't particularly like this arc, including me, but I like rewatching along side you to think about different perspectives and details I wasn't initially thinking about the first time around. I think that upon the first time we meet Tonari and the gang I was a little off put just because: 1, she tricked them into getting on the boat and leading them to this terrible place, and 2, we just came off a tragic loss of Gugu (a pretty tough act to follow). I really liked your thought about not everyone can be Marchs and Gugus. These kids obviously have such a different outlook on life because of their environment and how they grew up which I think Fushi can learn a lot from.
