I think it's fair to completely hate Viren. I just think he's so interesting beyond the hate and there are interesting points there. Still love the direction and seeing you completely dunk on characters the second they hit screen is entertaining.

Dark Siri

Yes. Praise to Jason!

David Johnson

The fruit is irrelevant. Claudia needed a sacrifice, and knew both that deer came to eat the milk fruit *and* that Ezran *wouldn't* take her to them if he knew she needed a deer. So...subterfuge.

Historia-Europa

Okay if it wasn't clear the fruit was never anything more than a lure for the deer. She just told Ezran she needed it so she wouldn't tell him what she actually wanted.

Suplee215

It was never about the fruit. She knows that deer love moon fruit

Dark Siri

Claudia was not looking for the fruit any more than a lion is looking for water when it heads for the waterhole. She needed what the fruit attracts.

Suplee215

Yup. Claudia knew Ezra will never lead her to an animal she was going to kill.

Bernhard

The volume in this setup is already somewhat problematic when Mosco uses it but at times you get louder than her so having the volume at a level where I can easily understand the dialog of the show is far too loud for your own audio track. Otherwise I love your reactions as always.

BlueEyedRaven

I think Elijah mis-understood why Claudia needed the milk fruit. She wanted it because she knew deer would be drawn to it.

Kaykic

I'm sorry, if you told me I could fix a dear relatives' nearly full body paralysis by going dear hunting...I'd do it. Maybe I'm just a bad person. Am I alone here?

SauceyRed

AHHHH I'M SO READY

Bernhard

BTW: If I’m not mistaken, you’re using VLC here. You can press e to go forward one frame at a time but for some weird reason there’s no way to go backward frame by frame. If you often try to pause on a specific frame, I can recommend mpv as an alternative media player; there you can use , (comma) and . (period) to go backward/forward.

YEESSS Dragon prince reaction uploaded on my birthday let’s GOOOO

Bernhard

No. I think seeing the characters eating some venison would not have elicited a similar reaction and Claudia’s ends here certainly justified the means by most people’s standards.

Flufux

I do not know how, but the fact that you were in Mosco's place in Scotland went by completely unnoticed until you mentioned it.

David Johnson

Of course the elephant in the room is that Aaravos taught Viren a *Dark Magic* spell.

Bug Catcher Jacky

Help my dog is snoring louder than the audio xD

Serinthia Kelberry

I was waiting for the deer. I watched Elijah watching Claudia flipping back and forth. For me, despite her best intentions, this was what convinced me she would keep going down the dark path and never stop.

Liam Gradwell

Jason Simpson does deserve praise and he loves Elijah’s reactions so much. He does play the character well. Very well, Elijah can say. 🤣

Aineyn

I mean, she did save Soren from paralysis! Like, in the real world, if there was a way to save people from paralysis and all it took is one deer, well, of course keep a check on the deer population so they don't go extinct, but otherwise, go for it!

The Akimbo Knight

In case you were wondering, even though season 2 had some amazing moments there's nothing to prepare you for how wild stuff gets in season 3. The only thing I can say without spoiler is simply "Get Excited 😎"

SauceyRed

At 19:07 it seemed like Claudia just came up with the idea, not really sure why else she'd make that expression, so honestly idk, maybe didn't think about it until then? Would make sense if her plan was to get Ezran to help her with the fruit thing, but I'm not entirely convinced.

SauceyRed

Seeing people say how Claudia's plan was always to get the deer, but I'm not sure. Carmen Sandiego but as a witch

One that really stuck out to me in this episode is just how brutal the magic can be in this setting. We've gotten to know each character pretty well so far and we see a lot of humanizing moments from the guards, betting on if the Queen or King will do this or that during training or whatever. So to see Viren literally turn one of the guards into ice, then shattering them, and also practically disintegrating another right after. Like to me that kind of stuff is brutal to see.

Iron117Prime

The volume of the episode is still not quite up. I hope you fix that sometime soon.

Iron117Prime

Oh, fun fact... those shadow beings that Viren summoned are actually the "ghosts" of the other Moon Shadow elf assassins back in Season 1 with Rayla. They were all killed in battle (except Runan). He used their cremated ashes with dark magic to bring to life their ghosts and sick them on the other human kingdoms.

Ryan Porter

I hope Mosco has really good noise canceling headphones so she doesn't get any accidental spoilers from your reaction. Jason and his amazing voice will take you on such a journey over the next four seasons... and so will Racquel (Claudia). And now the story complects, threads weaving and winding and intertwining... Shame about the cliffhanger, guess now you'll have to react to season three before Arcane comes out... Oh, won't somebody please fix Hamish's shelf!?

Catradora fan

When you were trying to get the camera to focus should've been "hocus focus!" 😅 Cute jumper (sweater)

Huckleberry Sinn

Elijah should help Mosco with her audio set up while she's over there. I have the video volume maxed out, my headphones' volume maxed out, and I had to get a volume enhancer plug in to be able to hear the show at all. I'm going a bit deaf every time Elijah speaks just to be able to understand what the characters are saying. It's screaming and whispers, no in between. It's why I (sadly and reluctantly) had to stop watching Mosco's reactions a while back. It's too frustrating to try to watch.

Phoenix Mackenzie

The fruit was the excuse to get ezran to lead her to the deer(the deer love the fruit, find the fruit and you'll find the deer) then get ezran to leave so he didn't know what she did

Joey Quixote

End of Book 2! Oh I cannot wait for what's in store for you in the next Book. The more I rewatch, the more I appreciate Claudia. We've been calling her complex because she's a seemingly decent individual, except for the whole Dark Magic thing. Traditionally, the Dark Mage is this spooky, evil character who does bad things, knows they're doing bad things, and just doesn't care or claims it to be for the greater good (Viren). But this is Claudia's upbringing. It's not Dark Magic to her. It's just Magic. It's not that she's choosing to overlook the lives she sacrifices, it's just not really much of a thought. If someone is brought up doing evil things, conditioned to believe that there's no fault in what they're doing, then the moral dilemma just never exists to them. Words are failing me at the moment, and this is dragging on. That said, here, she seems remorseful in taking the fawn's life, but still feels it's for a greater good. So there is a limit, a line, a boundary for her in that respect. As for Aaravos... well... You said you wanted a threat.

Aren Seitel

the fruit wasnt what she needed.
