Being muscled doesn't affect the skeletal structure of the jaw, I'd think - the excessive squareness of Iona's jaw has actually struck me a bit funky, in other images of her.

It actually does, by chewing on rubber and working out your jaw muscles you can make the muscles where your jaw hinges larger giving a squarer jaw line.

yes, it's from back when ate our roots and such raw. Also, Iona's face was described as rough hewn. The recent picnic...pic...where she looks like a lumberjack is pretty close to my mental image.

I suspect this is AI created art. I actually am on the side of supporting AI art, (it's amazing what we can suddenly do with it now) but believe disclosure is best and there should be clarity whenever possible on whether art was hand made or not. The 512x1024 resolution is also the "Portrait (Large)" resolution on NovelAI, and the fingers on the hands don't look right, which is what AI drawings are known for.

Poked in on /r/AnimeResearch to check what the current state of the art is and apparently they're pretty good at symmetry these days! Zooming in more closely, the mandela background is maybe suggestive of AI art after all. I don't know any more, which is pretty surprising.
