Fuck. People are bastards. It's your money, Steph, you do what the fuck you want with it. Even if you wanted to spend Patreon money on that, who fucking cares? It's clear it matters to you and you've never missed a fucking Monday. It's not like you're absconding with the money and not producing anything of value. The Karens of the world can fuck off. (yeah, I say 'fuck' a lot when I'm angry)

Fuck yeah! In fact, I DEMAND that my piddly Patreon money be spent this way! Well...if Steph wants to...

I really don't get the idea of being a Patreon patron as proof of "employership" of said creator. When I first started supporting creators on Patreon, it seemed plain to me that if I was paying for goods in the strict sense of the word, it was for content already created and enjoyed. Naturally there is also the hope for the creator to continue to make content, but I became of patron for them because of having already enjoyed their work. But let's pretend that we here at The Shattered Inc. are Stephanie's executive board and investors; their employers. Why is it at all odd or unexpected for our illustrious employee to spend some (in whatever part) of their compensation on Zilla pinball tables, ball gags, Transformers, Willem Dafoe dolls, and strange new variations on tamagotchis. First, if you've chosen to invest in or employ Stephanie because you like their content backlog, did you really believe they wouldn't spend money that way? You may as well expect a dog not to engage in coprophagy. Second, our employee is getting their supposed salary, and are producing quality work just as they always have, more than ever actually. Who cares what they do with the money outside of that? Third, those apparently incidental expenses are part of who they are and how they operate. If you are paying someone to be creative, it seems perfectly reasonable that money be spent to surround them with things that keep them happy and creative. You can very much call it a cost of doing business. A great deal of my disposable income from my employer is spent on transformer figures both official and 3rd party (Fans Toys are best), all manner of other mecha figures, and a slowly growing collection of ever better quality airbrushed Gundam/mecha model kits as I slowly learn to STOP MAKING THE SAME MISTAKES OVER AND OVER!... Does my employer have any say or stake in this? NO! I am one of their principle engineers, and so long as they get what they need from me, and I make reasonable effort to blur my mecha circus in my office during Zoom meetings, nobody cares. (I forgot to blur it during my first Zoom interviews with them so the need to blur it is really just in my head I think.) The haters here really don't have any ground to stand on if you think about it for more than a minute, which was far less time than it took for this hater to type out that tirade.

So I don't like how AAA publishers do business so I rarely, if ever, buy their games at launch and/or new. I don't give them my money because I don't want to support their behavior. Can't people like this commenter that had to be so fucking rude to Steph just not support them? Just don't watch Steph's content, don't reply to their social media posts. Just move on. Go play your shit AAA games instead and stop being a big baby. What if I kept on buying CoD every year and having a shit time and just being miserable so I can complain about how much I don't like them? I'd look like a right dope.

If I understood those xbox rules right, you get 4 free heated gamer moments per year or 6 cases of bullying or 14 counts of cheating. Personally that seems like a lot of offending

Who in Hawaii is saying don't come? Tourists didn't cause Lahaina to burn. And why would one boycott Hawaii? It's like a far better version of Florida.

By spending your money and time on pinball, you are denying resources to AAA studios. To deny resources to your enemy, is to destroy them. Both Sun Tzu and I think you need to spend more money on pinball machines. Anyone who says otherwise is obviously working for EA.
