Resident Evil 4 Remake just got itself some lovely new microtransactions, even though it launched a few weeks ago. This is bad. People are trying to argue it isn't, but it is.   

Remember, there are NO good microtransactions. Let's look at what Capcom pulled and explain how this sucks.

You'd mentioned on Twitter that you wanted to get the captions right, and they're fantastic this week. The script is lovely and the captions add their own little bits of charm throughout.

I love that logical take down of Microtransactions that destroys both angles of their “justification.” That there's no direction to come at them and not have them either suck or blow.

Microtransactions in a single-player game are bad enough, but adding them after it had most of its sales and the reviews came out is pretty much a confession that they knew it wouldn't have sold as well if it came with that crap initially.
