Time for another review, one I'm glad I was able to squeeze out before the weekend's over. CLICK HERE to read my Cultic review! 

This is a really good shooter that I had a blast playing on the Steam Deck. A good little retraux horror FPS.

I mean, I've always known you were a person of exquisite taste (there's no realistic amount of money I wouldn't pay for that bejewelled hat that only turned up for one episode and I'm only half-joking) but it's great to see someone appreciate the simple beauty of just a damn solid rifle in an FPS. I was exactly the same in holding onto my hunting rifle long after more powerful sniper rifles had become an option in The Outer Worlds.

It depends on the rifle. My aiming isn't the best with one-shot weapons as I hesitate on taking shots, but if I find a rifle that really speaks to me, I am all about it. Certainly in single-player games as opposed to multiplayer.

Oh, absolutely - needs to be a damn solid rifle. The right stopping power, the right sound design and not too punishing on reload time. Also, thinking about it, it's been a long time since I've played an FPS that didn't have RPG elements allowing me to cheese my way out of the many and sundry mistakes I almost certainly made in any given shootout.
