The PS4 version of Fallout 4 won't be getting mods. Same goes for Skyrim: Special Edition.

Bethesda has revealed it was Sony's call, and that's no good. That's no good at all.

I'm getting a "This video is private." message

Same here

Damn tease! Edit: Hey Jim: hire Laura to do your editing - works for the podcast...

I guess it would just be redundant and unnecessary at this point to say the video is marked as private. So I wont... but it is.

Description update

Johnomatopoeia

Stop playing with my emotions.

None of us would forgive you for not including Chains of love, would we?

Anonymous

Also, using chains of love as the intro music could be a welcome change

Bad Jim!

Rime Pendragon

More like "Failing Out With The PS4" :-)

If you were Ubisoft you'd be charging us extra for the version with music.

Anonymous

Version with no music would be the standart edition. Other versions you can preorder contains different music, but in order to get version with all the tracks, you would need a complex preorder spreadsheet. Also, be aware that Jim Fucking Sterling Son does not accept any currency, other than pogs.

Something-something SJWs taking our videos, something-something censorship. :P

It's fixed now. Sorry about that. I think I need a vacation. :)

Sony afraid the mods will be exploited to allow bootleg code to be run ;) (As unlikely as that might be)

I... really hate to even vaguely take up for Sony on this, but it's a legitimate point, especially given how bad their security has proven to be in the past.

I'd like to hear Sony's take on the situation. It may well be that it's all their fault, as Bethesda claims, but I would at least like to hear it from their mouths. I can understand how it could take a company that large more than a couple of days to come about and recognize a coherent reply was necessary.

watched half this movie and realsied i am all pc so who gives a fuck......just buy a pc. with all the consoles out there buy now u actually need to know what u doing when u buy one of those by now as well and with the new generation of gpus - specially AMD its cheaper than its ever been to get in with a high end rig

Ooooh Sony. I was SO CLOSE to ditching my PC and picking up a PS4 pro, so so damn close. This just reminds me of why I'm PC and why I switched. I have now decided to pick up a regular PS4 when the prices drop even more so that I can have the exclusive games that I want and with the money I'll save i think I'll be putting a 1070 into my PC in place of the 780. I really want a system that is the "obvious all in 1 choice" but taking away the mod option hurts pretty bad. Imagine the Fallout4 VR mods that could have been.

Why would you ever want to get rid of your PC, even if you buy a console?
