Hello to my adorable patrons! I think it’s time for another Asking Sterling, where patrons ask me questions and I do an answering of them in podcast form.

As always, feel free to probe in any which way, the worst that can happen is I won’t answer if it’s too uncomfortable, but generally your trashgirl is an open, sexy book.

Hey there! How do you reconcile/come to terms with playing cheap/predatory mobile games that you know want all your money? I don't have it in me to boycott them on principle. I gave up a few months ago and started spending within a budget (that I failed to uphold this month). With my mental illness, sometimes shit like AFK Arena is all I can do. But... If there were a reality television series (or streaming, Disney + maybe). Set on an island. With twelve contestants. With an elimination episode every week, as well as a sexy uncut up-late sorta ep. But the "elimination" means that the contestant is put down by a vet and their corpse is used as sustenance by the others for the next seven days, til the next elimination-by-vet. And all the contestants are video game related mofo's. WIth the list of contestants being: - Bobby Kotick - Ninja (the streamer, not the Far Cry 3 music South African rap fella) - Uwe Boll - You - Gabe Newell - Chris Pratt but he has to talk like Mario and pretend to be small unless he eats magic mushrooms - Phil Fish - Someone off the street who was talked into this but has never played a video game and is dressed up as Iwata - David Cage - The dog that they motion captured for that Call Of Duty game with a doggo in it - You again but with face tattoo's, one being Rolf Harris with three legs - The cast from Round the Twist but all wrapped up in tape so they're one person 1 - Who would be eliminated and ate'ed each week? 2 - Who would win? Sorry if this is too personal, but could you describe how you went about being diagnosed with your ADHD and Bipolar disorder after it going undiagnosed for so long? I’m 30, from the UK and honestly think I have similar undiagnosed issues but doctors here never seem to care. I’m diagnosed with depression and anxiety and take meds for this but always felt there was something else and a specific diagnosis would go a long way towards coping with and understanding what makes me tick.

80s TOYS: I have a massive amount of childhood toys I’m trying to rehome. You seem to buy this stuff a lot so do you know a nice reliable place to sell them? Have you ever thought about making either a playlist or maybe even a separate video all about the problems of videogames, and perhaps some solutions, in regards to mental health? I still have to argue that game addiction is a real thing, that a lot of games use manipulation in a way that it is not something you can ignore if you're predisposed to fall for said manipulation and that these things, and other sleazy practices, makes something that for people with mental health challenges can make a hobby, passion and/or the escapism they might need to have a little time away from a reality that's hard to be in, become something that's unhealthy for that person and just exacerbates the problems. I admire the way you're able to put words on these issues, and you've helped me understand my problems better, thank you by the way. So it might be helpful to have as a resource to give to people who would benefit knowing more about these issues. No pressure. Just a thought.

After you dropped Death and Taxes last year and graced us all with your fabulous self in all your Non-Binary Finery, I remember you letting us all get a peek into the life of Steph like how you were dissolving pills under your tongue and where you shopped for clothing (Torrid Cash for the win), and I wondered if the decision to be as public as your comfortable being about your journey was an easy one to make and was it easier to do it on camera as part of your main channel or did you also want to create a separate channel like Vera Wylde did?

But I can’t help but feel after a while it’d take a mental toll on you and perhaps your audience. Hey Steph, been following your work for years. As a socialist by the time I found you, I really loved seeing your steady descent from "this industry is bullshit" into "actually capitalism in general is bullshit." Recently you came out as, let's say, not condemning piracy probably. Conrad, of podquisition fame, is known to be a sexy as fuck socialist that can cook (sign me the fuck up please.) But more on point, he doesn't believe in copyright at all. Can you envision a world in which some system of intellectual property can be beneficial to society generally, or do you think IP will always mainly be just a tool for our capitalist overlords to squeeze yet more wealth out of the lower class.
