Time for part one of the latest installment of Asking Sterling, that podcast where patrons done asked questions and then I done answered them. Today, I done answers to about half the questions you done asked, and then at a time that isn't now, I'll post a podcast where I done the other answers to the questions you done asked.

The latest batch of questions have what is probably an unsurprising overall theme. As the first Asking Sterling since the ol' coming out, folks have questions. A good place to ask questions is a Q&A.

You had Q's, so let's now check out my A!

Fem Sterling, please, PLEASE get those golden vocals on a song.

See I sing the Big Show’s theme in the style of a man being pleasantly surprised by the size of a member. “Well! It’s a big show!”

But then I again I also walk around the house singing “tell me what a sausage is tell me what a sausage is tell me tell me tell me what a sausage is. FREAKOUT” etc etc

An hour and a half with no idea whether my question was answered or not, and I have ADHD affecting my long-term focus... Ohhh boy... *tired sigh*

I’ve been a fan of yours for a couple of years now. I’m don’t post comments on these types of things much unless i really have something to say. I can’t understand all of what you have going on in your life, but I applaud you for pushing forward. Everyone has personal shit in there life. But it’s focusing on the stuff that makes you happy and screw the stuff that doesn’t. Everybody deals with depression(except The Rock), you are not alone and you have everything you need to keep moving forward. Stay true to yourself, and stay strong.

I remember posting A question? but I don't see I in Comments section. I think I just had one of those moments. (when I thought I did something remember doing it, But believing I imagine it.)

Thanks for sharing a part of yourself and your experience in such a candid and human way. Been listening to your work for like 15 years now and it’s really wonderful to hear this side of you. Also I can totally relate to the weird challenging social experience you describe of having people react to you changing the name you go by, as I went through the same thing a few years ago. You really see how people either go with it and are cool/respectful or just act a damn fool and reject the mere concept of change on principal. :/

Hmm. I haven't pre vetted anything and I answered everything I saw up to my pause point. You've got time to add it to the last question post.

I felt it in a less deep way when I first started going by Jim Sterling. My family insisted on still calling me James even though I didn't like it and it felt kinda disregarding of me. It's been strange to me that I embraced James again after coming out and fully relegated Jim to a brand. I'm thinking my rejection of the name was me misplacing a source of my identity issues.

SO like... after I survived cancer I started dressing like a gothic pirate (complete with coat and tricorn)... cause that is how I always wanted to dress. It was absolutely the best choice I ever made. I forged my own style and have never felt like I should go back. I'm glad you found the you you wanted to be. I think if we stopped dressing as others expect us more we'd be a more free society.

"If there's gold in those jizz-soaked hills, go digging." That's an awesome line.
