Influencers are like proper celebrities now, so we have to listen to everything they say.

Ninja is an influencer, and he has plenty to say. Recently the Mixer Man caused a fuss by extolling the virtues of anger and deriding the notion that a videogame is "just a game."

This sparked up the age old Hardcore Gamer debates, and I've got bugger all else to do this week, so let's talk about competition, attitudes, and Cucumber Succulence!

Oh this is gonna be good

Might've wanted to wait till spring to do the epic rooftop shot. Nice analysis of how he's wrong, how his position is understandable, and how his position in context is still narrow-minded probably not healthy.

Indeed I appreciate Jim for not taking the easy way out and totally trashing Ninja as a worthless human being like i've seen too many pundits out there do, I get where he's coming from and I do hope the debate makes him think more carefully about his attitude and his own responsibility with having such a huge and mostly young and impressionable audience. Also i'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least partially jealous of the guy.

Wonderfully said Jim. ❤️

I played 1 match of the Bleeding Edge Beta, minutes after it went live in Australia. One of my fellow countrymen was swearing and complaining about how bad we (the other 3 players in the team) were, he was quite personally offended that we were losing. Multiplayer games, like Ninjas beloved Fortnite, can't be lumped with other games when this zealous behaviour is the norm.

Very good points. People with such attitude are the main reason I rarely play any multiplayer games. Also, a quick drawing of Cucumber Succulence, because drawing is more fun than getting angry over a game XD https://imgur.com/a/ckd0Zrd

Okay, never heard of this Ninja guy. And, having seen this and done a brief search of stuff on him, really don't want to hear of him again. Sounds like one of those over-testosteroned manchildren we should have pushed into the army to get over his aggression constructively.

I'm guessing that Ninja was way more eloquent about the idea of winning and competition in his book because he didn't write it.
