AI is theft. AI is plagiarism. AI is an energy hog, a Techbro scam, a borderline useless waste of resources that grifters are contriving uses for. It is also stealing content to throw into a big algorithmic "pile" that was exposed last week. Let's talk about how so-called AI stole my content.

I'm an IT guy who undestands how AI works. And I've made comments on your channel before on how it works and at least try to put it into some context but you make it such a black and white issue that it becomes disinformation. I like you as a person and I think the work you do on the abuses in the gaming industry is very important. And while I understand the emotions that come with your work being stolen, I don't want to support this anymore if your videos are only filled with rhetoric. So fuck me, I'm sure, but goodbye.

What context is needed past Stephanie not deciding to allow AI to use their work and not being compensated for it if they do decide to? These scumbags will DMCA everyone for the slightest thing and cry about piracy but their AI thievery is okay? It should be opt-in for your work to be used by AI. These corporations won't even allow people to opt out. It is a black and white issue. Companies (and apparently you) are okay with people's work being stolen. There is no excuse, and there is no context needed.

I have only used AI ONCE in my life. I am currently trying to get a job as a librarian and I'm doing volunteer transcription and one day they added an "AI Assist" button. Now when dealing with libraries and similar information based fields, you ARE encouraged to have an open mind of sorts to new technology. I decided to give that aspect of my intended job a go and I thought it'd be simple enough. Just copy the words on the scanned document to a word processor. Regardless of "artist out of the art" - AI being used for that purpose was and still is something I can at least understand. The mistakes were so frequent and so bad that I honestly found it easier to delete the whole thing and start again. I've never used it again and have been vocal because "if THIS is how bad it was at copying text, how bad must it be at pretending to come up with something out of nothing?"
