Yeah, Starship is distinctly different compared to HYBE where it seemed like outside of Enhypen/TXT....no one really knew or were close friends with each other (which makes sense, HYBE is really only a single company in name/on paper only). I think it also helps that there were so many older actors there who aren't shackled by the insane rules idols generally have to follow and that the 4 "leaders" are very variety savy having been in the industry for such a long time and outside of the oldest (Song Seung Heon), have done a CRAP ton of variety over the years

i love how you pointed out Kihyun's Youth (EP + song name btw in case no one said so in the chat) bc you said you liked the song before too when you were doing the save one drop one 2022 video -- very consistent in your music taste~ (big recommendation btw, the lyrics have a very beautiful message too. in general i think you'd enjoy Kihyun's solo stuff but youth especially is so good) anyway it's so neat that you decided to watch more of this, it's really fun to rewatch it in this way. i really have to agree on the actors bringing in a good vibe. i always love game caterers but i think the starship one has very interesting and fun dynamics so i gotta say it's one of my favorites also i think it's so funny how Rei just nods when he says "disband" she is seriously too cute for this world

and K.Will is like 42 years old now. He debuted in 2007 when he was around 25. A lot of these top level singers when they're young for experience and training will do the guide tracks for the song when groups get them and record the songs. TVXQ "Hug" came out around 2004 but it is a little rare for someone so young to do one as well as assign parts. Just shows you what an extreme top level voice talent he's always been and still is

and lol, short answer is yes, it's partly you're fault. For example, Im sure you've heard of Yonsei University in korea as one of the top 3 universities in korea. It was actually started by american missionaries. BUT, Catholicism was in korea long before American missionaries were. Korea is a very weird amalgalm of christianity, catholicism, buddhism, traditional korean shamanism, etc etc for such a small country. However, it's also kind of ingrained in korean culture. Im not sure where you live and what the korean population is there, but we tend to habit of starting a LOT of churches. There's an old dad joke about korean churches that goes "let's make like a korean church and split". For example, Im originally from St. Louis, MO which at the time I was there probably had no more than 2000-3000 koreans in total and there were like over 30 korean churches
