Ever since watching you stream this painting, I have been very excited to see how Bumblebee would look when she's finished and oh my goodness, she look amazing! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 (Just to make writing this easier, I'm going to call her BB since that's much quicker to type 😹) Firstly, these colours are just gorgeous, the pale blue-green for the background is a great choice with the yellow wings and the warm browns and yellows of BB and her clothes all standing out very strongly, likewise the dark blacks of her clothes also pop out very well. I really like how you painted the wings, the transparent membranes with a glowing yellow along the stems is quite eye-catching but it also doesn't distract from BB herself. BB's hair looks beautiful, it's so insanely detailed! When you first revealed the WIP, I was very excited to see how you'd tackle painting such complicated hair with so many curling and twisting strands and you definitely rose to the challenge! The hair has a beautiful shine along the highest planes, with the bright rim-lighting along the edges as well as some blue tinting adding a lovely cool contrast. The blonde strands of hair really pop against the brown and their own definition and shine is equally well done as the brown hair. BB's face is just stunning! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I love the shadows around her eyes and the deep creases above the eyelashes, the nose is so nicely defined, while her mouth has a great degree of detail with the thin lights above the upper lip and below the corners of the mouth, with great occlusion shadows to separate the lips. The lips themselves are such an appealing deep red with a luscious shine, the red blush on her cheeks is also a cute extra bit of warmth that looks very nice. When it comes to her overall body, the rim-lighting along her arms and waist/hips go so well with her darker skin tones, really popping against the brown tones as well as the darker shadows along her upper arm and right waist/stomach. I love all of the muscle tone too, her raised, flexed bicep and shoulder wrapping over it are defined so well with a mix of painterly, soft blending and hard edges. Her abs are absolutely gorgeous, the soft blending of tones around her belly-button, with harder edges and dark shadows separating them from her obliques are a joy to see. And all of her clothes look fantastic, such as the shining gold bangles on her arms and the honey-comb patterns on her hips which are a very fun detail, I also like the painterly, scratchy texture on her belt. Her top/bra looks amazing, the golden patterns have a subtle, beautiful shine to them and I like how the different golden trims all overlap each other. Te black material too has a great texture, especially on the breasts beneath the gold, as well as the area under the breasts, with great details like the occlusion shadows under her breasts and beneath the black, separating it from the skin. BB's pants too are great with white highlights to contrast the black as well as subtle but visible lighting to show the muscle and forms of her thighs underneath them. Absolutely beautiful work on Bumblebee, Didi! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 It was a joy to watch you paint her and the finished painting is just so beautiful, cute and vibrant!
