Demo Release (Patreon)

Welp, a little bit of a change of plan for this/last week. I had originally wanted to do a Dossier post about Ginger but instead I thought, why not wait a little bit longer post the first demo build of the game? So that is what I have done! This demo build of One Week Heroine is free and public so feel free to share it if you would like. I won’t be charging for this release.

IMPORTANT: There are still 2 categories of things that I consider placeholder in the demo. The first is quite obvious, the characters that have not been drawn yet are using placeholder silhouettes. The second placeholder (and this is a big one) is the background artwork, currently all background art is temporary and will be replaced once artworks are completed from them but that is only going to be done after all the character and scene artwork is completed.

Note: For now, audio settings are available once you start a new game.

Demo Scope

The demo covers the introduction to the game and stops just before the sandbox portion. This will hopefully give you (and new people) an idea of what to expect. There is a single missable scene in the intro. If you want to see it here is a hint: remember to use your words.

Next Release

The main thing holding back the next release is the speed of which artwork can be produced. As soon as the necessary art is done, the first non-demo version of One Week Heroine will be released to all backers.

Priority Poll Results

The people have spoken, and the winner of the Priority Poll is “Sabotage the CCTV”! I hope you are all looking forward to Molly taking down the surveillance system in Peeltopia, I am sure nothing could possibly go wrong. I will be implementing this mission in the second build of the game. Don’t worry if your favourite wasn’t chosen, all of the poll’s options will be implemented eventually.

Next Week

Next week we will actually be looking at Ginger and talk a little bit about her “situation” (you will know what I mean after you play the demo). Hope to see you then.
