“Maybe you’ve seen it 2 or 3 times.” 😂 I’ve seen it dozens of times, several times in the theater. This movie cracks me up! You should definitely watch it again to pick up on the little details that probably slipped by you. It still kills me that the Frog brothers are named Edgar and Allen — as in Edgar Allen Poe. Every piece of dialog out of their mouths is a gem. It’s funny that you mentioned The Goonies. Corey Feldman (Edgar Frog) also played ‘Mouth’ in The Goonies. He was also in Gremlins and Stand By Me and other less successful films. There was a string of movies in the 80s and early 90s that all featured a mix of the same kids. Corey Feldman, Corey Haim (Sam), Keifer Sutherland (David), Alex Winter (Marco), River Phoenix, Martha Plimpton, Keanu Reeves. Here are some.films where you will find at least two of them: Goonies - Corey F., Martha Stand By Me - River, Corey F., Keifer Mosquito Coast - River, Martha Parenthood - Keanu, Martha, and also has Joaquin Phoenix (his name was Leaf Phoenix back then) My Own Private Idaho - River, Keanu Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure - Keanu, Alex Running on Empty - River, Martha License to Drive - Corey F., Corey H. Dream a Little Dream - Corey F., Corey H. And don’t even get me started on the Brat Pack! (Ally Sheedy, Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, Andrew McCarthy, Demi Moore, Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson). Some lump in Matthew Broderick, John Cusack, Joan Cusack, James Spader, Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Gertz (Star in Lost Boys). All of these folks played in at least 2 movies together. Some did 3 or 4 movies together. If you watch just about any movie from the 80s or early 90s that have kids or teens in them, you’ll get some combination of these actors. It was like these were the only young people in Hollywood. And we knew them all by name. Obviously, I still do! I was the demographic for all of their films.
