Would really love your opinion on something like this..! I've been noticing people being alittle more creative with their Youtube Titles for reaction/commentary videos. I'd love to do this as well but I feel I'd have to get rid of the "FILMMAKER REACTION" portion of the title.

I'm not sure if this will do anything search wise for you guys, but if this will make it difficult to find my videos then I won't do it even though I think its a creative step forward.

Thoughts?

Go for it. I don’t think it matters to people that are already subscribed to your YouTube channel. I would think people here in Patreon would probably already be subscribed. :)

I say go for it! if you don't feel like it's working, you can always go back to what you're used to.

I'm subscribed to your channel so I always know when you have a new video up, but including the word "Filmmaker" definitely let's people know what type of content they're in for and seperates you from the crowd. It brought me to your channel after all.

WhatRaySay

I think it's a good idea man, and it shouldn't be much impact (if any really) to any of us. What are you thinking of using going forward?

Brittyn Lindsey

I’m subscribed to your channel so it wouldn’t affect me! Do what will work best for you 🙂

Crispy

You're asking the wrong people really, personally I'd be fine with mixing things up though

Aesthetically, the “FILMMAKER REACTS” part in the title is a little tacky, but I’m sure it’s useful for drawing new people in so I’m not sure you should get rid of it. Changing the title would help distinguish you from some of the more low effort react channels, but in the end you’re not going to lose or miss out on any viewers if you keep it as is.

Go for it. Subbed with notifications, so I won't miss them!

some of the titles reactors come up with are a bit cringey at times. but i do understand its part of the YouTube game. if you don't evolve with the algorithm you get left behind.

Thanks everyone for the comments! Wanted to post it here first primarily to get Patreon response first. Youtube comments can get alittle all over the place and I knew posting this here would give some sound advice!

I actually like the "Filmmaker Reacts" part of your titles - shows the audience that you'll bring a unique perspective! If you add anything it could just be a short phrase, like "This made me so angry! Filmmaker reacts to THE HUNT" or something like that. I feel like Natalie Gold and other commenters do something similar.

Since I'm a subscriber and a patron, I don't miss any of your videos. Do whatever you feel like doing my friend. Seeing "filmmaker" in the title is what made me click on one of your reactions for the first time, if that makes any difference. Whatever you decide, I'm here for it. You're such an awesome individual ☮❤

Dan

However you decide on your titles, just make sure to keep it simple for the google search algorithm, i.e. keep the name of the movie or clip in the title. I've seen some people get so creative with their Breaking Bad titles that they don't show up in searches, and only appear in feeds by deep-learning association. I would think the "filmmaker reacts" would have its own unique allure for the insights you'd be advertising to an unsubscribed audience, but I suppose if it's a classic like True Lies or Terminator, people are going to find+watch all the instances they can anyway.

My username is not JEditor for no reason. I actually run a news website (and print publication) that has millions of annual readers, so I know a lot about SEO. For privacy I won’t say what it is here. That said, feel free to message me. I could get into the nitty gritty of how to optimize your channel/videos.

I subscribe to you on YouTube and get notifications there, so I will always know when you put out a new video. I say do what is going to help you be seen. For myself, I was attracted to “Filmmaker Reacts.” So many reactions are cringe-worthy. I liked the idea of seeing a reaction from someone who really thinks about them as an artistic expression. But that’s just me. And btw you’re the best reactor on YouTube ❤️❤️

Most people, including me, don't know the workings of the mighty YT algorithm. But I guess you could replace 'Filmmaker' with a personal take or insight to show what makes your reactions unique. Something like 'Amazing cinematography' or The editing is so good'. Something that helps film nerds pick out your material.

Hey J! Hahaha I’ll shoot you a message tomorrow about it. I think I have a gist of where my heads at but I wouldn’t mind asking further questions. Thanks homie!
