Guten Morgen Schätzchen. Hope everyone has a nice Dienstag - Tuesday!? I´m really tired tonight... yesterday I had to fight with a lot of paperwork. Ewww... and I´m not finished yet! :( So just some quick Fragen, and back to bed again... Have you ever geborgt - borrowed something and never given it back? Would you rather have no eyelashes or have no Augenbrauen - eyebrows? If You could play with a baby animal for a whole day, which would you choose? Who is the best James Bond actor? Hopefully you'll be able to finish it up without much fuss 😧<br><br><b>Unintentional theft!</b> I have borrowed some things that I've never given back, unfortunately. I can think of at least 3 books that are lying around <i>somewhere</i> in my apartment that I really should return to their respective owners. Bad Doc ☹️<br><br><b>Selective alopecia!</b> I think I'd rather have no eyelashes. Eyebrows are an important part of facial expressions - we use them when we look surprised, angry, confused, etc. I'd probably be shite at drawing them on, and I don't know that I would want a pair of eyebrows tattooed onto my face. I'd definitely miss having eyelashes, but I could always use fake ones.<br><br><b>Baby animals!</b> This is a tough one. It'd be fun to play with a baby elephant. Kittens and puppies are devastatingly adorable. And hanging out with a panda cub is probably the closest I could get to a panda without it mauling me to death. <br><br>I'd probably decide by posting the names of different animals on a bulletin board and throwing a dart at it with my eyes closed. Whichever name the dart lands on is my play date for the day 🤗<br><br>(I suppose a random number generator would be an easier way to decide, but what's the fun in that?)<br><br><b>Best 007!</b> George Lazenby! 😍😍😍<br><br>...nah, I'm bullshitting you guys with that one. I had a crazy day! Last night after finishing up a scary movie (Anabelle: Creation- for those who don't know me I'm a chicken when it comes to horror flicks-stopped watching them after the first Resident Evil...oh yeah, I hate zombies the most)..Anyway, after my nightly ritual I finally get into bed around 12:00-!2:15. I doze off and my phone rings. My dad has been in and out of the hospital since he went back to Illinois - the last time was very serious. So my phone ringing after midnight I'm, scared to death, but I'm pouncing. I answer the phone and it's someone from corporate security telling me I had to go to my job because there had been a break in. My manager was not answering her phone, so the called me! So, I get to my job an two policeman are dusting for finger prints. Front, inner glass door shattered to pieces, broken window in the basement (where they gained entry) and blood everywhere! It was a mess. I'm there for about a hr and a half doing all of our due diligence then the police leave me there all by myself! I'm like "Um...where the hell do you think you're going?" "You can finish your emails-you'll be fine..be careful of the glass when you come out" The hell I will..they didn't even wait for me to get to my car they just boned out. So, nanoseconds later, I leave- emails can wait until I get home. I finally finish @ 3:30. Go to bed and get back up 2 hrs later. After finally getting a hold of my manager her and I meet at work around 7:45 and we still had to wait for the police to come back to do another sweep so we could go in with the cleaning crew. I got to leave early but got a text telling me they arrested a totally different person at around 6!!!!....Crazy Ass Day! Plus my daughter didn't even remember I woke her up and told her I had to leave...

Me on Monday: OMG, I have a full week of work to get through, this sucks. Me on Tuesday: OMG, THE WEEK'S ALMOST OVER AND I'VE DONE NOTHING. Hehe. Congratulations to the lovely winners!

So far my week hasn't been too great. I've had a pretty bad cold since Friday and was pretty much bedridden all weekend. I luckily only have class Tuesday and Wednesday this week because of Thanksgiving. Hoping to be better by Thursday. Don't want to have to cook while sick.

Hello, Claudia! I am currently on my planning block on the last day of school before the Thanksgiving holiday. I am trying to motivate myself to do some grading, but my brain says I have the next five days to get it done. Procrastination is an EVIL thing, I'll tell you! I am drinking a cup of coffee in my favorite Eeyore mug -- no name mug for me, even though Amy is easy to find. My poor daughter, though, has a common name with an old-fashioned spelling, so finding things with her name is impossible unless we have it custom made! Oh, well, the bell has rung and it's time for lunch duty -- such fun the day before a holiday!! LOL

Hello Lovelies! Um... I'm really terrible at this, and have never done this before so here we go? Daily Fragen for the Fraugen! (Sorta...) Is there a word you always misspell? Is there ever a time lying (outright or by omission) is the right thing to do? If you were offered a way to live indefinitely, would you? What kind of art (or specific piece) had the greatest effect on you? (this include ALL kinds of art)

Hallo to Claudia and the Fraugen! Thanks to Phoenix for tonight's Fragen! My planned Mittwoch cleaning/laundry spree has been co-opted by the opportunity to go to the museum with a bunch of other writers and then take over the museum conference room to write. Sounds like a good time to me, and I've got a voucher for a free museum admission that's going to expire soon. Bonus: It gives my boss an excuse not to show up to work, which he was sorta fishing for. Everyone wins! And now, this: <b>Minding my p's and q's</b> — I was once a district-champion speller, but for some reason I've been struggling with minuscule lately—I always want to spell it as "miniscule." I have to remember it's minU, like minUTE, like small. Oh, brain... (Point of interest: I was told as an undergrad that "mind your p's and q's" was sometimes used as a pneumonic to remind physicists to sort out their momentum expressions "p"s from their electric charges "q"s. It's not an accepted origin of the phrase, but more likely something some professor used at some point—though how on earth you'd mix up momentum and electric charge, as they're entirely different units and used in entirely different contexts, I've got no idea.) <b>When a little lie is a good thing</b> — My catastrophizing, apocalyptic brain says that lying about my and/or someone else's sexuality to save one or both of us from prison, work camp, or "conversion therapy" comes to mind...but that is, after all, an extreme example. I would say, however, that lying to protect the safety of an innocent person is, in fact, the right thing to do. I'm under no obligation to tell an abusive ex where xer former S.O. is, nor fess up that there are more victims behind a closed door to a would-be spree killer. <b>Practical immortality</b> — Rather as the case of "would you let your S.O. turn you into a vampire?", this is a big fat NO. While living indefinitely wouldn't carry the practical problems that vampirism would (sleep schedules, sustenance, etc), it would still have the problem of memory compression. Know how it seems like summers in your childhood lasted forever, but now they pass in the blink of an eye? That's a real thing, and it just continues as you get older. By the time you're 200 years old, a year could feel like a month, or even less. Relationships become fleeting and insubstantial to you even while they're everything to the other person. Plus, I'd end up being that old woman at rallies holding up a sign saying "I CAN'T BELIEVE I STILL HAVE TO PROTEST THIS SHIT." Sounds miserable to me. <b>Influential art?</b> — The most influential art form for me was writing—not even a question. While it's pretty easy to argue that the most influential piece was J.K. Rowling's <i>Harry Potter</i> series, it should be noted that I started writing when I was 8 years old, when I didn't have any real friends. Writing quite literally saved my life as a kid; I can almost guarantee that without it, I would've succumbed to depression before I graduated from high school. It was a way for me to deal with the bullying, the ostracizing, and the general dissatisfaction with life I felt on a daily basis. My writing got pretty dark pretty fast—my mother stopped reading my first full-length manuscript about halfway through because the content was too upsetting, and she hasn't been allowed to read another manuscript since—but I'm not even half as evil as my friend. Though I do make a point of not speaking up when other authors are talking about the horrible things they do to their characters and what "bad people" they are, because I've almost always done something at least two shades worse.

Hello Claudia, and the rest of you all-stars!! Yep, we celebrate Thanksgiving at my place. We already started prepping the big meal. We'll have the typical Thanksgiving meal (turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, etc.) with some family favorite sides like turnip greens, and a lot of dessert. Two cakes, two cobblers, and at least one pie. Would I accept $1,000,000 cash to leave my country and never return? ...I don't know about that. If that means I can't even visit, then no. There's a lot of the US I still want to see. Do I end the phone call or does the other person? I'm usually the one to say 'talk to you later' or 'bye' first. Have I fallen off a mechanical bull? Yes. But it was fun. And funny. Have I ever forgotten a word's meaning by staring at it too long? I haven't. I have forgotten what some words mean occasionally from my mind going blank, but not from staring at it so long. Have a good Thursday, everyone!! :D
