Hey guys,

So this week I was playing a bit with some new software, it's called Wrap and it allows you to transfer shape from one model to another (also textures).

Now why is this useful? The models that I am using are imported from Daz 3D, They are very good meshes and have immense support - corrective morphs, expression morphs, clothes, hair etc...

The trouble is, when I want to use a video game character (let's say SFM model), I can either use the original mesh, which doesn't have any of the bells and whistles I mentioned, or I have to somehow transfer the shape and textures to the DAZ 3D model. This is what I did in the past, with more or less succes. Especially Miranda always gave me issues, if you look at my older works involving her she never really looked *quite* right in my opinion.

However with the new software, I was able to transfer the shape and textures perfectly on the Daz model (attached picture) in minutes. I am showing her without hair, because that's much harder to get right.

This gives me very interesting options for the future to quickly add new models, because when the base model is prepared (with physics, genitals etc.), all I need to do is add the new shape and textures. In fact, I used this approach in the past, but the process of adding new shape was not trivial.

As for the Diner for Three scene, render is almost finished and I am told by the VAs that they should be done soon as well. I started working on the cumshot scene in the meantime. So hopefully this project is done soon.

Since we're on the subject of character models, and I agree DAZ 3D is the best out there right now, I still have a question. I know you don't do VR content videos, but would it be possible to get VR still images (aka render a single frame as aJPG image) from time to time of your character models? I would love to see that as exclusive content for paying customers. Or would that be better done as a contracted bit of work?

Yeah, her features are actually kinda crazy, but somehow if you put it all together it works.

Thanks, here is a video on how it works https://vimeo.com/181450922

I dabbled with VR a bit, but octane doesn't play too well with it. Now I am using cycles and I am still extremely interested in VR. I just need to figure out how to approach it, since lot of my patrons are not interested in VR (which is understandable). I'll see what I can after I finish my current projects.

Octane Blender? My cycles settings work pretty well I would say, and I don't think it's possible to set up the octane one properly.
