This is absolutely one of my favorite episode! It's incredibly hard to watch, but it's so real.... Kageyama and Hinata both want to win, but they just don't see eye to eye on the method of improving. I think both have insecurities, but I think realistically (not in an anime) Kageyama is being pragmatic. The tournament is approaching, and they only have limited time to improve. I think Kageyama sees a lot of his past self in current Hinata. In Kageyama's mind, Shoyo is being selfish for trying to improve himself rather than improving as a team. While it's true that Hinata has to improve with his quick, he also has a lot to his all-around game as well. But my interpretation could be misunderstanding, just some food for thought. This episode always gets me teary-eyed. Good stuff!
