Lol "I Love Emilia" is one of the most controversial lines in all of anime. But you gotta give Subaru props for not running away from the fact that he couldn't possibly let go of Emilia. That kinda honesty should always be respected. Sufferu still could have led with an arigato first. 😭

This left a bad taste in my mouth because it seemed to me that the whole point of that scene was to let go of the past and grow as a person and start "from zero" but he's also still obsessing over some girl who's over him which imo contradicts the purpose of the scene. Maybe I'm forgetting something or just missing something about it, but atm I think it would have been way better character development and more relatable for him to just move on from her the same way that people have to irl.

I feel ya. I can see why people said this episode was so controversial lol. I guess at the end of the day if Puck destroys the world like he says, what choice does Subaru even have. He is almost destined to try and save Emilia.
