I was wondering why the guardians were so intentionally generic at first. 1 by 1 each seemingly unoriginal character gets introduced and I had no idea what the show was trying to do. To me it seemed the first part of the episode was mostly just to create a PG facade with a bunch of different super hero clichés and stereotypes that shows and movies tend to use while the last part just tears it all down. It makes me wonder if the creator saw the justice league and asked themselves what it would be like if superman was evil. I love the concept and I think it makes for a much more interesting story instead of having the OP alien be a protagonist that overshadows any other protagonist.
