Just wanted to talk about the Ouroboros, since it was mentioned! AOT seems to be very inspired by Norse symbolism, for example, there being Nine Realms (the Nine Titans), which are connected by the World Tree, Yggdrasil (‘Paths,’ hence all the Tree symbolism used this season). In Norse mythology, the Ouroboros is associated with the World Snake, Jörmungandr. He was often depicted biting his own tail (signifying the endless cycle of life and death), and said to start the end of the world, Ragnarök, when he releases it (breaking the cycle). I don’t want to go further into the mythology, since it may unintentionally be a spoiler depending on how MUCH AOT does end up drawing from Norse mythology 👀 lol but interesting nonetheless.

This was so special, what a surprise. Everyone I know doesnt sees anime as anything more than nuanced spongebob squarepants, so to listen to such a deep and thoughtful, totally uncalled for, hour long bonus discussion was really a delight. When Ashe said she feels like the Charlie Day meme when she watches the show… lol thats me too. It either helps with critical thinking, or insanity, def one of those two things. The Eren character analysis at the beginning and Levi' in the middle were incredibly compelling The Floch rant was amusing The Erwin vs Armin rehash was consoling. It felt guud to hear Ashe say it was “character building” for everyone involved
