Hey all, KodexKommander here with some information of what we are working on.

There are a ton of systems we refactored last month including story, UI, and other minors things throughout the month. The next big one we are going to do is the combat refactor, which will include a host of visible improvements, effects and more.

Here are the highlights of what we are working to get in the game this month:

  • Forest Dungeon
  • Cheat Items

Here are some things we are working on/discussing right now:

  • Improved combat gameplay for companions
  • Improved enemy combat
  • Combat Refactoring
  • Farming overhaul to promote fun & progression
  • Dungeon overhaul to make them more directed & unique as well as fun.

Wouldn't it make more sense to improve enemy combat and overhaul dungeons -before- adding in more dungeons and more enemies?

The systems they use are largely the same, the lego blocks go in and can be rearranged. It would be simpler to not include them at all, but we have to think of what's being shown off to the users too. This is like adding 2 or 3 days extra dev time to the refactoring and overhauls of those systems. Mostly what's getting changed in the combat refactoring is the visuals, with some very light systemic stuff. Putting in more enemies hardly effects that. Dungeons are trickier, but getting the lego blocks into place won't overly shift our way of implementing and arranging those lego blocks.

A nice touch is maybe some way to automate the farm if we're really willing to grind the other aspects and vice versa depending on what playstyle people prefer.
