Dell has now changed their turn-around time from 8 business days to 10 business days. They're on pace to miss the new target. As of today they still have not started looking at it yet. I called in, and got another friendly person who tried to be helpful. They've moved it on to the department responsible for delayed repairs, who will contact me in 24 hours.

Take a moment to reflect on the fact that they have a department responsible for contacting people who have delayed repairs. That speaks volumes about the problem. I'm starting to feel sorry for the customer service people who have to deal with this shit show.

Man... this sucks. I wish i lived nearby, cause i'd say fuck it at this point... head online to amazon or whatever, or head to some local PC parts store and just build a fresh PC together from scratch, without Bloatware and Curse Free from Dell's Un-Reliability...

What really sucks is that I had seriously considered building one instead of buying another Dell. In the end I was so busy at work, and so stressed out, that I decided to take the "easier" option and buy another Dell. I'll never make that mistake again.

It was fine to take the easier option. The company is offering an easier option but yeah this problem is looking like a real bitch
